dr hab. Jadwiga Uchyła-Zroski, prof. WSA – Chairwoman of the University Commission for the Quality of Education

She obtained her doctorate and habilitation at the University of Gdansk, Faculty of Social Sciences, field: social sciences, discipline: pedagogy and art. From 1981-2017, she was an employee of the University of Silesia, and since 2017 she has been an academic teacher at the Higher School of Administration in Bielsko-Biała. During her academic career, she held the position of deputy dean three times and was a member of many University of Silesia Senate committees. She was awarded, among others, the Medal of the National Education Commission. Active in the social environment, she was a candidate for the Polish Parliament.

Her scientific achievements include works in the field of general pedagogy, pedeutology, art in an interdisciplinary context: Monographs authored – 4, co-authored monographs – 2. Collective monographic works under her editorship – 12, Articles in domestic and foreign journals about 200. Scripts and textbooks – 2. Numerous publishing reviews, including 3 CDs. She served as a reviewer for foreign habilitation proceedings five times and twice for domestic ones. Reviewer of guide publications 13 times. She promoted three PhDs, with more in progress. She founded an academic journal with an international range called “Artistic Studies” in which she was the editor-in-chief (University of Silesia, Katowice), she is also the editor-in-chief of a multi-volume publication, “Values in Music,” seven volumes of which have been published. She continues to give guest lectures at domestic centers (Rzeszow, Wroclaw, Lodz, Lublin, Krakow, Katowice, Gdansk) and foreign universities: Kiev, Daugavpils (Latvia), Brno, Presov, Ostrava. She has promoted three doctors, with more in progress. Member of the Polish Section of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Cieszyn branch.
