The Higher School of Administration in Bielsko-Biała is implementing a project titled “WSA connects – a program to increase the accessibility of the Higher School of Administration in Bielsko-Biała” co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund, implemented within the framework of the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development, Priority III Higher Education for Economy and Development, Action 3.5 Comprehensive Programs for Higher Education Institutions.

The purpose of the project

The main goal of the project is to increase the range of accessibility and the level of openness to the needs of people with disabilities at the Higher School of Administration in Bielsko-Biała and its branch in Stalowa Wola by eliminating barriers in access to education in the following areas: organizational structure, architecture, supporting technologies, procedures, types of educational support, training raising awareness of disability, and increasing competencies in accessibility and inclusive education of people with disabilities by at least 90% of employees from 28 people (22 women, 6 men) in the period from January 2021 to September 30, 2023.

The main objective is achieved through the implementation of actions aimed at support within the MINI and MIDI paths:

  • Support for organizational changes at the University – Area 1: Organizational structure
  • Elimination of barriers and increase in architectural and communication accessibility at the University – Area 2: Architecture
  • Implementation of IT tools and solutions at the University – Area 3: Supporting technologies
  • Development and implementation of procedures at the University aimed at increasing the quality and range of activities carried out by the University in the field of real estate management policies – Area 4: Procedures
  • Implementation of IT solutions and rational adaptations of the teaching process to the needs of disabled people – Area 5: Types of educational support
  • Implementation of training on disability among University employees leading to an increase in awareness and competencies by at least 90% of employees from 28 people (6 women, 22 men) – Area 6: Disability awareness-raising training

Project value

The project budget is 5,232,339.10 PLN, including:

  • 4,409,815.39 PLN – support from European Union funds
  • 665,553.53 PLN – benefit from special purpose funds
  • 156,970.18 PLN – own contribution from private funds
