Postgraduate Studies: Dietetics
The “Dietetics” education program is dedicated to individuals who wish to deepen their skills and knowledge in the field of healthy eating, clinical dietetics, and diet management. The postgraduate studies are a response to the increasing labor market demand and the growing popularity of nutrition specialists. In today’s world, the nutrition issue related to improper habits, overweight and societal obesity, as well as the problem of malnutrition, contribute to the increase in the number of lifestyle diseases, in which a proper diet plays an extremely important role.
Who are the studies aimed at?
The postgraduate studies “Dietetics” are intended for dietitians, doctors, nurses, fitness trainers, as well as for anyone who wants to develop their career or interests in the field of dietetics and healthy nutrition.
What will you learn in the studies?
The aim of the studies is to provide listeners with knowledge and skills about nutritional counseling, health promotion carried out among children, adolescents, and adults, and health promotion. The student will have basic medical knowledge and skills in the field of clinical nutrition, as well as the ability to assess the diet and nutritional status of both healthy and sick people. The graduate of the Dietetics course will be prepared to provide nutritional counseling in the form of prophylactic workshops promoting a healthy lifestyle, but also to run their own business in the form of a dietetic office. They will acquire skills necessary to prepare a diet depending on the client’s needs and health condition. They can serve as a nutrition educator, promote a healthy lifestyle, plan nutrition in accordance with the principles of EBM (Evidence-Based Medicine).
