Postgraduate Studies: Inclusive Education

The training program is dedicated to individuals interested in the practice and theory of inclusive education. The postgraduate studies “Inclusive Education” respond to current educational and social challenges, enabling the acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary for effective implementation of inclusive education principles. The program is aimed at people wishing to support the development and education of individuals with various needs, promoting equality, tolerance, and respect for differences.

Who are the studies aimed at?

The “Inclusive Education” program is an innovative and sought-after direction by teachers, educators, and specialists. It is designed for individuals with a bachelor’s, master’s, or unified master’s degree along with pedagogical training, as well as psychologists and other education professionals who want to develop their career and competencies in the field of inclusive education.

What will you learn in the studies?

The postgraduate studies prepare specialists to work with children and adolescents with special educational needs for their rational and effective support and guidance for the development of students and pupils with various disorders and deficits. Graduates of this course will be prepared to perform the above-mentioned tasks in conditions of universally accessible education (in mainstream schools) and in integrative education. Thanks to the qualifications obtained, the knowledge imparted, and the skills acquired, the graduates of Inclusive Education will be appropriately prepared to support individuals with various types of disabilities, to work with students with learning difficulties, with emotional disorders, socially maladjusted, as well as with exceptionally talented students, in accordance with their developmental potential and educational capabilities. Depending on the education they have, graduates will acquire qualifications to work as an inclusive education teacher in kindergartens and primary schools (for individuals with a bachelor’s degree) or in all types of schools (for master’s degree holders).

The studies are of a qualifying nature. The program is in line with the requirements set out in the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of July 25, 2019, on the standard of education preparing for the profession of a teacher (Journal of Laws 2019, item 1450) and with the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of August 9, 2017, on the conditions of organizing education, upbringing, and care for disabled children and youth, socially maladjusted, and those at risk of social maladjustment (Journal of Laws 2017, item 1578 as amended).
